Every great home starts with its site, and this one had plenty to work with: mature trees, a steep slope, and a creek running along the back of the property. For this custom estate home design in Calgary, our goal was to make the most of the setting while creating a home that feels warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive.

From the street, Stonebrook Rise blends the familiar with the modern. Classic gabled rooflines and light stone give the home a timeless, approachable feel, while dark metal accents and large windows keep it fresh and contemporary. A two-storey glass entry lets you see right into the home, showing off the staircase and the warm glow inside.

The real magic happens out back. Because the lot slopes toward the creek, we designed a full walkout home, giving every level its own direct connection to the outdoors. On the main floor, large sliding doors open onto a deck with a raised pool, outdoor lounge, and dining space, making it easy to host a summer evening or simply enjoy a quiet morning coffee. A small wooden footbridge crosses the creek and invites you to explore the landscape beyond.

Upstairs, a covered balcony and roof top loft offers a private spot to relax and take in the view. Downstairs, a stone patio sits right at garden level, perfect for gathering around the fire with family and friends. Thoughtful details like an arched stone doorway and twin stone chimneys add character and a real sense of craftsmanship throughout.
